Though this hairstyle is very easy to create, it looks sophisticated enough to be worn for a date night or for a wedding. I usually wear this sometimes just for outings with friends and family. I have turned quite a lot of heads with this one! This hairstyle is most suitable for medium length hair but if you have long hair you can make some adjustments.

1. Lets begin. First we part our hair into two halves from front to back.

2. Start braiding. Grab some hair at the crown area from one of the halves, divide into three sections and start braiding. As you braid, go on adding little piece of hair just like in french braiding but here you add pieces only from one side. The direction of the braid should always be straight down and aligned to your face. Continue braiding until you have no more hair pieces left to add then braid normally till the end. Secure with a clear rubber band.

3. Repeat the step 2 for the other half of the hair. If you do these steps correctly you should look like a red-Indian princess! Don't go out entertaining your folks yet, we aren't finished.

4. Take one braid and wrap it to the back of your head. make sure you don't have strays at this stage. Secure the braid with bobby pins. Repeat the process for other braid, tuck the end underneath the first braid, bobby pin it in place.

5. Add bobby pins to secure the braids and you're done. Add some flower accessories to maximize the effect.

Recently I came across some braided hairstyles which were very quick and simple yet elegant and sophisticated looking. So I immediately got hooked on to them. I have been practicing some of them on myself and have been getting many compliments since then. So I thought I will share these hairstyles with you today. So today I am going to explain how to do a very simple one. It is called “Fairy tale Braid”. As you can see, the name itself is very attractive and I am sure you will look like a girl from the fairy tale with it. So let’s get you started for your way to many compliments.

First grab some hair from one side of your head just above your ear. Make three sections and braid them normally for few times. It is easier to work with your hair this way since we are doing the brading by ourselves.

1)First step is while bringing the top strand into the middle grab chunk of hair from the top just like you do in French Braid, if you are familiar with it. Now cross the bottom strand over the middle strand.

2)The second step is slightly tricky, so separate the bottom most strand by wrapping it around your pinky. While crossing the top strand into the middle, grab a chunk of hair like you did last time and cross it over the middle strand.

3)For the third step grab a chunk of hair underneath the bottom strand and leave out the strand that you had wrapped around your pinky. Now cross the grabbed chunk over the middle.

4)Continue the steps one to three in the direction of one ear to the other. When you reach the end until there is no more hair left to grab, just braid normally till the end and secure with clear plastic band. You may have to practice a few times before you get it neatly.

In single sentence this can be summarized into top strand into middle with grabbing the new chunk every time  and new chunk of bottom strand into the middle.

Viola…you have braided yourself the fairy tale braid or the waterfall braid. Step out stylishly and enjoy your compliments. Do comment and tell me the responses you got for the braid.
